I am a firm believer that personal belongings multiply like rabbits. Every time we move we run into the same problem! Sounds like your packing went fine and you will be on your way soon. Have lots of great adventures!!!
I hope your suitcases are big. I remember needing my winter coat a lot sooner than I expected. Waterproof outerwear is also good. And if you adopt the concept of wearing one suit/outfit for a whole week, you won't need to bring as much clothing ;)
The purpose of my blog is to keep friends and family updated on my whereabouts and adventures during my year in Germany. I received an Alexander von Humboldt German Chancellor Scholarship and am here to research the way Germany is communicating with Muslim countries. My hope is that my blog provides a glimpse everyday live in Germany (Erin-style:-))

Erin,
Have a great time in Germany! We had a great time when we were in Freiburg in 2001, but I am sure Berlin now will be thrilling.
If you ever head down to South Africa, that is where I am now.

Are you gonna blog in German? :)
The German Blogosphere would appreciate German postings. But we speak English too!
From our conversation this weekend, it sounds like you have it handled . . .

Let me know when you adopt the 1 suit/week concept.
